Things to note

Although AIA Healthshield Goldmax A does not have a claim-based pricing, it adopts a deductible wavier pass approached for private hospitalisation if you have the AIA VitalHealth rider. This means that you if you visit private hospital from the 2nd time onwards, you will be subjected to a deductible of $2,000. This will be waived if you have not made any private hospitalisation claims in the past 3 consecutive years.


In other words, if you have not made any private hospitalisation claims in the past 3 consecutive years, you will not be subjected to the $2,000 deductible. If you have made a private hospitalisation claim in the past 3 consecutive years, you will be subjected to the additional $2,000 deductible. This is a great way to encourage policyholders to seek treatment at public hospitals and reduce healthcare costs.
